- Q:
- What vitamins does SunnyD contain?
- A:
- SunnyD is a healthy alternative to other soft drinks which contain additives (many of which are artificial), a low juice level and added sugar. We have taken the decision to add no synthetic vitamins to SunnyD in order to keep it as natural and refreshing as possible. There is enough Beta-carotene (Vitamin A) and Vitamin C to make a 15% RDA/200 ml claim. However we do not feel that it is appropriate to put a nutrition claim on a soft drink as soft drinks should not replace good nutrition.

- Q:
- How much vitamin C is in SunnyD?
- A:
- There is naturally occurring vitamin C from the fruit juices used and the level varies depending on the product. There is enough vitamin C (from the juices) to make a 15% RDA/200 ml claim.
-
- Q:
- Does SunnyD need to be refrigerated?
- A:
- SunnyD is enjoyed best if it is kept in the fridge and served chilled. SunnyD has to be stored in the refrigerator because it is produced using a high quality filling technology which requires the product to be stored for a short shelf life and chilled. If the product is kept out of the chilled chain there will be significant degradation in product colour and taste and some microbiological spoilage. SunnyD should be consumed within eight hours of taking out of the fridge.
-
- Q:
- Can SunnyD turn you orange?
- A:
- SunnyD contains Beta carotene which is a source of vitamin A. Beta carotene is a widely used food colouring found in almost all soft drinks and occurs naturally in orange juice and carrot juice. SunnyD uses only Beta carotene from a natural source. When consumed responsibly, SunnyD will not turn you orange any more than a regular 100% orange juice or carrot juice would.
-
- Q:
- Is SunnyD a cost effective choice for me and my family?
- A:
- A 1 litre bottle of SunnyD costs £1.45. A 1 litre bottle of SunnyD will pour five 200 ml glasses of SunnyD which costs approximately 29p a glass making it still a cost effective and enjoyable choice for your family.
-
- Q:
- Who owns SunnyD?
- A:
- The brand is run by the Sunny Delight Beverages Company (SDBC) an independent company. SDBC uses the sales and distribution expertise of Gerber Drinks to support SunnyD in the UK. Gerber Drinks also manufacture and sell other brands such as Ocean Spray cranberry juice, Welch's grape juice and Libby's juices.
