Durdle Door, Lulworth, Dorset

The entire Jurassic coast, and in particular the limestone arches of Durdle Door. A beautiful location for romantic cliff walks, fossil hunting and picnicking on the beach. There are plenty of great pubs, many with rooms if you want to stay over.

The London Eye, London

Where better to hold hands with your loved one that at the top of the London Eye. Look down on the city of London, often voted the most romantic place in the UK (admittedly, also often voted least romantic). Booking in advance advised.

View from Arthur’s Seat, Edinburgh

Climb up Arthur’s Seat (an extinct volcano) in Holyrood Park and check out the breathtaking views. Then explore the romantic city of Edinburgh where you’ll find cobbled alleyways, wonderful pubs, and a grand castle.

Lake District, Cumbria

Head for Buttermere, Crummock Water or Loweswater, to enjoy walks ranging from easy to challenging with spectacular views. There are loads of other activities like boating, biking or canoeing and it’s easy to get away from the crowds.
