Make every day a sunshine day with Sunny D. Here at Sunny D we like nothing better than packing up the Sunny D, and heading off on our holidays. If we snap up a bargain, so much the better.

Follow these tips from the Sunny D team to find the perfect break for you and your family.

Be Smart With Flights

If you can, travel between 6pm and midnight as flights are often cheaper than mornings. Friday is generally the most expensive day to travel. Avoid Mondays when business travellers take flights. For a long-haul flights consider breaking the journey somewhere. Having a stopover will save money. Keep an eye out for new routes that may have discounts. The same goes for new hotels which may offer special rates in the first year.

Head Into The Unknown

Book a weekend break in a city’s business area for cheaper hotel rooms, for example a weekend in Brussels or Zurich will have great room rates at the weekends when the business travellers have left. Sunday is usually the cheapest night of the week in city hotels, and may be more likely to bring an upgrade.

Grab A Discount

It’s often cheaper to book direct with a hotel or holiday cottage. If you are booking outside school holidays you may also receive a discount (ask for one!) Look for discount vouchers and codes in newspapers and on websites.

Sunny Staycations

More people are choosing to take several shorter breaks through the year, rather than one long expensive holiday. With concerns about security as well as the cost of airfares and during school holidays more people are choosing to take holidays in the UK. Popular areas include London, Brighton, Cornwall, Blackpool, Edinburgh, the Scottish Highlands, the Lake District, and Wales. Look at AirB&B or youth hostels for cheap accommodation.

Jump On The Train

Consider taking the train and avoid the jams. A Friends and Family Railcard gives you a discount. Further afield, if you book ahead you can get good prices for visiting Paris, Brussels, the South of France or Germany. Take a picnic of sandwiches and Sunny D, relax and enjoy the view.

Check The Small Print

Always check what’s included in a deal. You need to know what is included. In-flight meals, breakfast, and transfers maybe standard or charged as extra. Make sure you know what is meant by ‘all-inclusive’.

Florida is Sunshine Country

The home of Sunny D, and if you shop around there are good prices to be had on all-inclusive package deals for the family.

The Rain is not in Spain

Sunshine, oranges and Sunny D – what’s not to like. Spain as a holiday destination wins hands down for choice of gorgeous locations, flights and range of accommodation. You can drive there from the UK if you are feeling adventurous.
