Mulled Wine

You will need:

  • 300ml Sunny D Tangy Florida
  • 75cl bottle red wine
  • 3 tbsp caster sugar
  • 2 sachets mulled wine spices
  • 1 orange, sliced and halved
  • 4 tbsp brandy or port, optional
  • Cinnamon sticks and star anise to garnish

What to do:

  • Place Sunny D, wine, sugar and mulled wine sachets into a large saucepan.
  • Gradually bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer gently for 10 mins, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove mulled wine sachets and discard. Add orange slices, brandy or port, if using.
  • Serve in heatproof glasses, garnished with cinnamon sticks and star anise.

 

Non-alcoholic Mulled Sunny D

  • 1litre carton Sunny D Tangy Florida
  • 2 sachets mulled wine spices
  • 1 orange, sliced and halved
  • Cinnamon sticks and star anise to garnish

What to do:

  • Place Sunny D and mulled wine sachets into a saucepan.
  • Gradually bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer gently for 10 mins, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove mulled wine sachets and discard. Add orange slices.
  • Serve in heatproof glasses, garnished with cinnamon sticks and star anise.
